Monika Schwalm

Monika Schwalm (born September 29, 1946 in Kiel ; † July 19, 2008 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from the Matthias Claudius Middle School in Pinneberg in 1963 , Monika Schwalm completed an administration apprenticeship, which she completed with the first and second employee exams. She then worked for the Pinneberg district administration until 1973, most recently as a district youth worker. From 1989 to 1992 she was head of the constituency office of the Bundestag member Ingrid Roitzsch .

Monika Schwalm lived in Uetersen , was married and had two children. She succumbed to cancer on July 19, 2008, which she was diagnosed with in 2005.

Political party

Monika Schwalm joined the CDU in 1973 and was deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association Pinneberg for many years.

MPs

She was a member of the council assembly of the city of Uetersen from 1974 to 1992 and from 1979 to 1982 and from 1986 to 1992 the district council of the Pinneberg district . Since 1998 she was again a member of the Uetersen Council.

Monika Schwalm was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament for the first time from 1992 to 1996 . On 27 October 1998, it was as Nachrückerin for retired MPs Angelika Volquartz again member of the state. From 1993 to 1996 she was deputy chairwoman of the education committee and from 2000 to 2005 chairwoman of the interior and legal committee. From 2005 to 2007 she was Parliamentary Managing Director of the CDU state parliamentary group.
