In 1970 Elvis Presley (1935–1977) purchased the property for $ 339,000. After the divorce from his wife Priscilla (* 1945) in October 1973, she and their daughter Lisa Marie (* 1968) moved here for a short time, while Elvis Presley used his property on North Hillcrest Road as a second home next to his main residence, Graceland used. In 1975 Presley sold the house on Monovale Drive for $ 625,000 to Kojak actor Telly Savalas (1922-1994).

After him, the actress and singer Julie Andrews (* 1935) and the film director Blake Edwards (1922-2010), who were married since 1969, lived in the house.

House number 206 was the home of rapper Calvin Broadus (* 1971) and was used as a location for several rap videos.
