The Monti Picentini are a mountain range in the Campanian Apennines in the provinces of Avellino and Salerno in the Campania region .

geography

It is located near the Tyrrhenian Sea between the mountains of Monti Lattari , Monte Partenio (Montevergine) , the Irpinia valley and the valley of the Sele river . The highest peaks are the Monte Cervialto (1809 m) and Monte Polveracchio (1790 m) in the east, as well as the Monte Terminio (1786 m) in the west. The mountains are covered by the localities of Calabritto Acerno , Campagna , Montella , Volturara Irpina , Serino , Bagnoli Irpino . Giffoni Valle Piana , Caposele and Senerchia enclosed.
