Moon Hee-sang (born March 3, 1945 in Yangju , South Korea ) is a South Korean politician . He has been chairman of the South Korean National Assembly since July 13, 2018 . Until his election as Speaker of Parliament he was a member of the Deobureo-Minju party to, is currently, however, pursuant to the provisions non-party .
Moon studied law at Seoul National University . Since 2004 he has represented seat A of the city of Uijeongbu in parliament. Between February 2003 and July 2004 he served as President Roh Moo-hyun's chief of staff . He was a member of the Gukhoe from 1992 to 1996 and from 2000 to 2003.
