The Moon River is a river in the Muskoka District Municipality in the Canadian province of Ontario .
The Moon River forms the outflow from Lake Muskoka to Georgian Bay and Lake Huron . He leaves Lake Muskoka near Bala . First he passes the rapids of the "Moon Chute". Then the Musquash River branches off to the left. With it, part of the water flows off on a more southern and shorter route to Georgian Bay. The Moon River continues its course in a westerly direction. He overcomes the following rapids: "Island Portage Falls", "Jack Knife Rapids", "Seven Sisters Rapids", "Curtain Chute", "Twin Rapids" and "Moon Falls". Eventually he reaches Moon River Bay , Woods Bay and the Georgian Bay proper.
