History and description
The four-storey house was built around 1905.
The building has a completely preserved Art Nouveau facade . The influence of the Darmstadt artists' colony on the design of the building is unmistakable. A variety of plastering techniques as well as the color of the stucco and plaster decoration characterize the three-axle façade . Two stylized peacocks adorn the center of the arched gable, which vaults into the street . Geometric, graphic band motifs in the plaster frame the three window axes .
Partial gilding of the decorative elements enhances their plastic effect.
Monument protection
The house on Moosbergstrasse is a typical example of Art Nouveau in Darmstadt in the early 20th century. The building is a cultural monument for architectural, architectural and urban history reasons .
