biography

Mopz Wanted commuted in his area at the age of 12 to take part in breakdance competitions. So the hip-hop group KRIPO soon developed , which was the abbreviation for collective rocking individuals POsse. Rappers and DJs as well as sprayers and breakdancers were active in this commune . Mopz Wanted's interest in rap also grew later, and he founded the hip-hop duo Mopz & Melmark together with the Aachen producer and DJ Melmark , in which he was initially only active as Mopz . Together they performed as a support act for Olli Banjo , Eins Zwo, Ferris MC or Creutzfeld & Jakob , which led to increased awareness in West Germany and the Netherlands . Through these successes, the Aachen label Put Da Needle To Da Records became aware of the two. Shortly afterwards, Mopz & Melmark signed a contract with the label. In 2001 Mopz & Melmark released the vinyl - Maxi How it all started on home recording , a sub-label of Put Da Needle To Da Records. Shortly thereafter, however, he split from Melmark, and the label closed that same year. Mopz Wanted moved to Cologne and began studying there . At the same time, work began on his first album. He was signed to the newly formed label Pose Off Records , where he released his debut album Sign Language in November 2004 . In addition, the single was released with all my heart .

In May 2006 Mopz Wanted released his second solo album Ein neue Morgen . Four years later, the third album 16 July 2010 accompaniments published. This includes guest contributions from the group Die Firma and the rapper Sinuhe . The single Heimat with the singer Eylem was released beforehand. According to his own statement, Mopz Wanted worked on the album for around three years.
