The twin sisters Daida and Iballa Ruano Moreno (* 1977 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ), known as Moreno Twins, are windsurfers and each are multiple world champions.

Since 2012 they have jointly organized the “Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival” of the PWA in Pozo Izquierdo on Gran Canaria . In 2018 at the 30th anniversary of the World Cup in Gran Canaria, they were able to announce the same prize money for the men and women for the first time. Until then, the women, who also run the sport with significantly less support from sponsors, have received considerably less prize money. The Morenos hope that they have set an example and that all organizers of the PWA competitions will join this idea in the future.
