Morgan Adair Jones (born 1928 in Wooster , Ohio , † January 13, 2012 in Tarzana , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Jones did his military service in the US Navy in California, after which he began an acting career in Hollywood, where he first appeared in local theater productions until he got his first small role in You should be my lucky star . More than 25 films and 170 television appearances followed. Jones played recurring series roles in Highway Patrol 1955/1956, in 33 episodes of The Blue Angels , which aired from 1960 to 1962, and in several episodes of the detective series Mannix . He played one of the rare leading roles under Roger Corman in Messenger of Horror . By the mid-1980s, he starred in various television series such as Smoking Colts , Lassie , The Streets of San Francisco , Dallas, and Murder Is Her Hobby .

Jones has been married twice; both wives died of cancer.
