Moritz Friebe

Moritz Friebe (born November 30, 1846 in Reichenbach im Eulengebirge , † May 26, 1937 ) was a German high school teacher.

Life

Friebe attended the Maria-Magdalenen-Gymnasium in Breslau. From 1865 he studied philology at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University . From July 19, 1865 to the summer semester of 1867, he was active in the Corps Marcomannia Breslau . He was of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Breslau for Dr. phil. PhD. The prize publication was awarded the Royal Prize on March 22, 1869. Since Michaelis was a trial teacher at the König-Wilhelm-Schule in Reichenbach in 1869, he passed the exam pro facultate docendi in Breslau on February 25, 1870. He stayed as an assistant teacher in Reichenbach and changed to a full teacher at the high school in Liegnitz at Easter 1872 . Easter 1879 he came as a senior teacher at the gymnasium at Bromberg . Appointed Realgymnasialdirektor on February 18, 1885 by the Crown of Prussia, the minister for spiritual, teaching and medical affairs entrusted him with the management of the Realgymnasium in Fraustadt . At Easter 1895 he was appointed director of the high school in Poznan named after Gotthilf Berger . When the Berger-Gymnasium was separated from the Berger-Oberrealschule at Easter 1906, he kept the direction of the gymnasium, which has since been called Auguste-Viktoria-Gymnasium. Friebe was 90 years old. His son was Günther Friebe II (* January 27, 1884, † January 20, 1964), most recently government director in Hanover.
