Moritz Schäpsmeier (born September 25, 1984 in Minden ) is a former German handball player and today's coach. In the Bundesliga he mostly played in the right backcourt or on the right wing .

Schäpsmeier has played for GWD Minden since his earliest youth . For the junior national team, he played 33 games. In 2004 he became European champion with the team. Schäpsmeier played two international matches for the national team , in which he scored two goals.

From the 2010/11 season, Schäpsmeier was under contract with TV Großwallstadt for two years . In the 2012/13 season he played for SC Magdeburg , but switched back to GWD Minden for the 2013/14 season, where he ended his career in the summer of 2017 and took on his first coaching job with the 2nd team.
