Morné Nagel (born March 23, 1978 in Vereeniging ) is a South African track and field athlete who later became the 2001 relay world champion.

Nagel won the silver medal at the Universiade in 1999 with the South African 4 x 100 meter relay . At the World Championships in Seville , the South African relay team with Morne Nagel, Marcus La Grange , Lee-Roy Newton and Mathew Quinn came seventh in 38.74 seconds. Two years later he reached the quarter-finals over 100 meters at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton and Seville. The season was again in the finals. With the cast of Nagel, Corné du Plessis , Newton and Quinn, the season ran in 38.47 s to second place behind the Americans in 37.92 s. In connection with the doping investigation against the American Tim Montgomery , the US season 2005 was revoked the world championship title in 2001 and the four South Africans subsequently received the title.

In 2002, Nagel won the South African championship in the 100-meter run , and in April he improved the national record in the 200-meter run with 20.11 seconds . At the Commonwealth Games in 2002 , he finished sixth over 200 meters in 20.35 s. In 2004 he finished third in the African Championships in 20.93 s.

Morne Nagel has a competition weight of 77 kg with a height of 1.83 m.
