MotorStorm

MotorStorm is a racing game for the PlayStation 3 , which by Evolution Studios develops and Sony Computer Entertainment has been published. The game was first announced at E3 2005. The game was released in Japan in December 2006 and in the rest of the world in March 2007. Motorstorm has sold more than three million copies worldwide. The successor to MotorStorm, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift , was released in late 2008.

Updates

Five updates have been released to date for MotorStorm in North America and Europe.

1.1 Update 1.1 became available for download on March 23, 2007 along with the European and Australian releases. It introduced the following additional functions: a buddy list so that users could compete online against friends.
1.2 Update 1.2 was scheduled for release on June 11, 2007. It improves online play, is compatible with the Time Trail mode add-on , puts the disproportionate benefit of a boost into perspective and fixes a few errors. The update was released on June 15, 2007 in Europe and on June 21 in North America.
2.0 Update 2.0 expanded the vehicle selection and player colors in the lobby, and also fixed bugs with the headset and support for voice commands.
3.0 Update 3.0 added support for vibration with the Dualshock 3 controller. The finish of the last race influences the starting position in the next race within the same online lobby. A gloating index in support of the racer online prowess. Other bugs and exploits have been fixed. The update was released in Europe on October 25, 2007 and in North America on November 8, 2007.
3.1 Update 3.1 adds a 2D vehicle selection screen, as well as mirrored tracks for online multiplayer games, a new accelerometer for MotorStorm mode and two additional songs to the soundtrack - “Devil's Crossing” by Elite Force and “Beat The Devil” by Jiffster. The update was released in Europe on December 13, 2007. In North America, it was published on December 19, 2007.
