The Motorway M-8 is a highway in Pakistan . The highway runs east-west through Balochistan in the south-west of the country from Ratodero to the coastal town of Gwadar , not far from the border with Iran . With a total length of 892 kilometers, it is the longest motorway in the country.

construction

Construction of the M-8 began in October 2004. The motorway was opened to traffic on June 23, 2009. It cuts the travel time in this remote area significantly. Although the M-8 is signposted as a motorway, there is only one lane in each direction and no intersections along its entire length.
