Moulhoule (also: Moulhoulé , Arabic مول هولة) is a city in the north of the Obock region in Djibouti . It is located on the west coast of the Red Sea , at its southern mouth. The place is also the capital of the administrative district of the same name.
geography
Moulhoule is located on the Bab al-Mandab road, 325 km from Djibouti at the confluence of a wadi and the Moulẖouli spring . The RN 15 connects the place with Obock , 70 km further south and with the border with Eritrea 15 km further north. At the place the RN 16 joins the RN 15. The nearest towns are Khôr 'Angar (27 km), Rahayta (22 km) and Assab (95 km).
history
On May 26, 1991, Ethiopian forces advanced from the garrison in Assab (Eritrea) with 10,000 soldiers and tanks, as well as women and children as far as Moulhoule.
