Mouna Chebbah (born July 8, 1982 in Mahdia , Tunisia ) is a Tunisian handball player .

Career

Chebbah initially played for the Tunisian clubs ASF Mahdia and AS Ennour Ariana. From 2005 she ran for the French first division club ESBF Besançon. With Besançon, the back player was in her first season in the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup , but lost to the Hungarian club Győri ETO KC . In summer 2008 she moved to the Danish first division team Esbjerg . After two years in Esbjerg, she signed a contract with league rivals Viborg HK . With Viborg she won the 2014 European Cup Winners' Cup and the Danish championship. From the 2014/15 season she ran for the French first division handball Cercle Nîmes . In the summer of 2016, she moved to league competitor Chambray Touraine Handball . With 180 goals in the 2014/15 season and 148 goals in the 2016/17 season, she won the top scorer's crown in the French league. In the summer of 2019 she joined Sun AL Bouillargues.

Chebbah took part in the 2009 World Cup with the Tunisian national team. Here the right-hander took 4th place in the list of goalscorers with a total of 58 hits. In 2010 Chebbah took second place with Tunisia at the African Championships and was then named the best player of the tournament. In 2014 she won the African Championship.
