Mount Aeolus is a prominent mountain of more than 2000 m height that looms between Mount Boreas and Mount Hercules in the Olympus Range in East Antarctic Victoria Land.
Participants in a 1958-1959 campaign as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions named him after Aeolus , the god of the wind from Greek mythology .
