Mount Aldaz is a 2520 m high mountain in Marie-Byrd-Land . It rises almost inconspicuously from the ice-covered Usas Escarpment 35 km east-southeast of Mount Galla .
It was surveyed in 1959 by the United States Geological Survey as part of the investigation of the Executive Committee Range . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain after Luis N. Aldaz (1925-2011), Spanish meteorologist and scientific director of the Byrd station in 1960.
