Mount Anderson is a 4255 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 3 km south of Mount Bentley in the main ridge of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
He was discovered by the so-called Marie Byrd Land Traverse Party , a team mainly to explore the Marie Byrd Land between 1957 and 1958. This named the mountain after the American glaciologist Vernon Hugo Anderson (1927-1999), a member of these teams and 1957 active on the Byrd station .
