Mount Bitgood is a 1150 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It looms between Mount Lockhart and Mount Colombo in the northeastern part of the Fosdick Mountains in the Ford Ranges .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941), as well as surveys by the United States Geological Survey and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the American geologist Charles D.
