Mount Brooke is a massive, isolated and 2,675 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 27 km northwest of Mount Gran and dominates the area between the head ends of the Mackay and Mawson glaciers .
The mountain is named after Lieutenant Commander Francis Richard Brooke (* 1926) of the Royal Navy , 1957 head of the northern New Zealand survey team of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958).
