Mount Camelot is a 2590 m high mountain in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises in the Alamein Range near the center of the Freyberg Mountains and is the highest mountain in these mountains. A geological peculiarity is a so-called sub-beacon sandstone layer visible on its surface .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1968 after Camelot , the court of the mythical King Arthur .
