Mount Cassidy is a 1917 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Olympus Range it rises up as a striking landmark in the northeastern part of the Prentice Plateau . There is a rugged mountain ridge on its eastern flank .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2004 after Dennis Stephen Cassidy (* 1933), curator of the Antarctic Marine Geology Research Facility and Core Library at Florida State University in Tallahassee from 1962 to 1991.
