Mount Colburn is a 522 m high mountain in the east-central part of Shepard Island off the Hobbs coast of the west Antarctic Marie Byrd Land .
Its mapping took place on February 4, 1962 from aboard the icebreaker USS Glacier . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1963 after Lieutenant Richard E. Colburn, the ship's communications officer.
