Mount Davis is a 3800 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 1.6 km north of Mount Bentley in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
It was discovered by the so-called Marie Byrd Land Traverse Party , a team mainly to explore the Marie Byrd Land between 1957 and 1958. They named the mountain after the US geophysicist Leo E. Davis, geomagnetologist and seismologist on the Byrd- Station in 1957.
