Mount Draeger is a mountain of 1690 m in the East Antarctic Victoria Land , which is located in the northwestern part of the Posey Range in the Bowers Mountains . To the east it towers over the place where the Smithson glacier joins the Graveson glacier .
It was mapped by surveying work by the United States Geological Survey and with the help of aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the radio operator Ernest J. Draeger of the US Navy, a member of the occupation team on the McMurdo Station in the winter of 1967.
