Mount Dummett is a 1,270 m high and elongated mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises 17.5 km east of Mount McCauley in the southern part of the Prince Charles Mountains .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1956 during an overflight as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named him after Robert Bryan Dummett (1912-1977), managing director of the Australian branch of the energy company BP , in recognition of the company's support for the Australian expedition series.
