Mount Geier is a striking, mostly snow-covered and 1675 m high mountain near the Black Coast in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises in the northern part of the Schirmacher massif .
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after the topography engineer Frederick Joseph Geier (* 1939), who was involved in the USGS mapping the Lassiter coast between 1969 and 1970 .
