Mount Glowa is a 960 m high and striking mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Behrendt Mountains it rises 13 km west of Mount Hirman .
He was discovered and photographed from the air during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The expedition leader Finn Ronne named him after Colonel Latimer William Glowa (1908-2010), who was involved in the support and organization of the research trip on the staff of General Curtis E. LeMay .
