Mount Grendal is a 2000  m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range of the Transantarctic Mountains, it rises between the heads of the Valhalla and Conrow glaciers .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs carried out by the United States Navy in 1962 from 1947 to 1959. The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1983 based on the naming of Mount Beowulf after Grendal , the monster from the epic heroic poem Beowulf .
