Mount Gunner is a partially snow-covered and 1,430 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain of the Transantarctic Mountains, it rises in the southern part of Morris Heights .
Geologists from Ohio State University explored the mountain between 1967 and 1968. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after the geologist John D. Gunner, who was involved in this work and between 1967 and 1970 in a total of three Antarctic summer campaigns in other places in Antarctica was active.
