Mount Haslop is a 760 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Coatsland . At the western foothills of the Shackleton Range, it rises 3 km south of Mount Lowe .
Participants in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) mapped it for the first time in 1957. It is named after Lieutenant Gordon Murray Halsop (1922–1961), who was part of the Royal New Zealand Air Force contingent on this expedition from 1956 to 1958 .
