Mount Heiser is a mountain in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . In the Queen Elizabeth Range it rises immediately north of the Dorrer Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using tellurometer measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1965 after the American aurora researcher Paul W. Heiser Jr. (1932-2010) who served at Scott Base in 1959 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program .
