The Mount hole is located in the Australian Alpine National Park in the state of Victoria . With its 1,865 m peak, it is the sixth highest mountain in Victoria.

Together with Mount Hotham to the southwest, it is part of the local ski area. The Cobungra River and the Bundara River have their source on its slopes .
