The Mount Macbain is a distinctive and 2205 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Elizabeth Range, it looms between the mouths of the Cornwall and Helm glaciers and the Lowery glaciers .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Merle Macbain (1904-1991), who served as a public relations officer for the United States Navy Support Unit in Antarctica in Operation Deep Freeze from 1957 to 1958 and from 1958 to 1959.
