Mount Madison is a prominent, mostly icy and 1385 m high mountain on the Shackleton coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 11 km west of Cape Selborne on the southern flank of the Byrd Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Lieutenant Commander Douglas W. Madison, Advisor to the Commander of the United States Navy Support Units in Antarctica from 1961 to 1962 and in charge of public relations from 1963 to 1964.
