Mount Mercer is a 1501 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Athos Range in the Prince Charles Mountains, it rises 3 km west of the Farley massif .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1965 were used for mapping purposes. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after Barry Mercer, a weather observer at Davis Station in 1961.
