Mount Mitchell is a 1,820  m high mountain in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . On the Shackleton Coast, it rises 8 km southwest of Cape Goldie in the northern part of the Holland Range .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own tellurometer measurements from 1961 to 1962 and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1960. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after George W. Mitchell, commander of the USS  Burton Island at the Operation Deep Freeze of 1964.
