The Mount Nansen is a 2,740 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 17 km south of Mount Baxter in the east of the Eisenhower Range .
Scientists on the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott discovered him. Scott named the mountain after the Norwegian polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen (1861–1930), who had advised him on the implementation of the expedition.
