Mount Oldenburg is a partially snow-covered mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the eastern part of the Martin Hills, it rises 800 m east of Mount Helms .
A team from the University of Minnesota , led by the US geologist John Campbell Craddock , determined the geographic position of the mountain in January 1963 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1964 after the botanist Margaret Oldenburg (1892-1972), an expert on Antarctic flora , who gave gifts in the form of books, photographs and others to employees at US research stations in the Antarctic for several years Sent materials.
