Mount Orndorff is a 1520 m high mountain not far from the Dufek coast in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains it rises 8 km south of the Nilsen Peak on the west side of the Massam Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1966 after Lieutenant Commander Howard James Orndoff (1922–1992) of the United States Navy , a member of the team at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1963.
