The Mount POW / MIA is a mountain in the United States in the state of Alaska . The mountain is dedicated to all those American soldiers who were captured in the US wars or who are missing.

Mount POW / MIA got its name in 1999 on the initiative of Vietnam veteran John Morrissey . Since then, the POW / MIA flag has been flying on the top of the mountain, which is renewed every year on Memorial Day , a US American holiday.
