Mount Perov ( French Mont Perov ) is a 2380 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises to the west of the Norsk-Polarinstitutt glacier in the Belgica Mountains .
Participant in the Belgian Antarctic Expedition in 1957/58 under Gaston de Gerlache de Gomery (1919–2006) discovered him. It is named after the Soviet pilot Viktor Perow, who saved the lives of four members of the research trip after their plane crashed in December 1958. The English-language name has been accepted by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names since 1962 .
