Mount Press is a 3830  m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 5.5 km east-northeast of Mount Bentley east of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .

It was mapped by the so-called Marie Byrd Land Traverse Party , a team mainly to explore the Marie Byrd Land between 1957 and 1958. They named the mountain after the American geophysicist Frank Press (* 1924), deputy chairman of the technical committee on glaciology on the United States National Committee for the International Geophysical Year and from 1977 to 1981 scientific advisor to US President Jimmy Carter . The first ascent was made on December 31, 2006 by an Australian-Chilean team led by the Australian mountaineer and polar explorer Damien Gildea (* 1969).
