Mount Riley is a 2100 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Queen Maud Mountains, it rises west of the California Plateau along the northeast side of the Long Valley .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Stephen G. Riley, aerial photographer with the VX-6 squadron during the Operation Deep Freeze in 1966 and 1967.
