Mount Robertson is a 1,600 m high ice dome on the Borchgrevink coast of East Antarctica, Victoria . It rises south of Quarterdeck Ridge on Cape Wheatstone , the southeastern end of the Hallett Peninsula . From here there are impressive views of the Admiralty Mountains , the Victory Mountains and the Tucker Glacier .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him after the geophysicist Edward I. Robertson, chairman of the New Zealand Committee for the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958) and initiator of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition .
