Mount Rossel ( French Mont Rossel ) is a 2250 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises in the Belgica Mountains 5 km southwest of Mount Perov .
Participants in the Belgian Antarctic Expedition in 1957/58 under Gaston de Gerlache de Gomery (1919-2006) discovered him. It is named after Marie-Thérèse Rossel (1910–1987), editor of the newspaper Le Soir and sponsor of the research trip. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated the French name into English in 1965.
