The Mount Royalist is a 3640 m high and prominent mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 3 km west of Mount Adam in the Admiralty Mountains .
Participants in a campaign carried out from 1957 to 1958 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it after its impressive appearance and after the New Zealand cruiser HMNZS Royalist . In the area there are several other mountains named after New Zealand ships, such as Mount Ajax and Mount Black Prince .
