Mount Short is a 2,110 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 1.5 km east of Sculpture Mountain in the upper section of the Rennick Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after Lieutenant Commander John Sutter Short, commander of an LC-130F during the operation Deep Freeze in 1967 and 1968.
