Mount Smart is a 1500 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the southwestern part of the Sweeney Mountains, it rises 6 km southwest of Mount Ballard .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1968 after Robert G. Smart (1930-2008), cook at the Eights station in Year 1965.
